Melanie earned her Master of Nursing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. Prior to her becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit and held lead nursing roles at a community hospital in AZ. 

She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is a professional member of the Endocrine Society, American Association of Nurse Practitioners and American Diabetes Association.  

Melanie currently diagnoses and manages all endocrinopathies of patients 12 years old to 99 years old in a rural under-served community in Oregon.
