Payment
● There is currently no fee for abstract submission
Membership
● Membership is not required to submit an abstract
● Membership is required for at least 6 months prior to submission if you wish to be considered for an abstract award
● ENS members receive reduced tuition for conferences
Submission Steps
Step 1: Abstract Title
● Titles should be short and specific, in the title case (capitalize the first letter of each word except small words)
● Example: This Is a Properly Formatted Title
Step 2: Presentation Type
● Oral Presentation: Top-ranked abstracts may be selected for a 10-minute oral presentation with slides, followed by a 3-5 minute Q&A
● Electronic Poster Presentation: Posters are presented in-person at the conference using a horizontal PowerPoint slide format. Authors must be available for Q&A during their assigned window
Step 3: Authors and Disclosures
● The first author should present the abstract
● Conflict of Interest (COI) and Disclosure forms must be completed for all authors, disclosing any financial relationships with commercial interests from the past 24 months
● All financial relationships must be disclosed to learners at the beginning of the CME activity
● If no financial relationships exist, this must also be disclosed
Session Recording: Oral presentations may be recorded and shared on the ENS website with your consent
Step 4: Abstract Body
● Character Limit: Maximum 2,500 characters (excluding spaces). Figures, tables, and graphs are not accepted
● Language: All abstracts must be in English
● References: Allowed but not required; count toward the character limit
● Submission: Attach your abstract to the application form and email to endocrinenurses@gmail.com
● Required Sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion
● Blind Review: Do not include identifying information (author names, institutions) in the abstract body.
After Submission
● Edits: No revisions allowed after acceptance unless requested by the review committee
● Withdrawal: Email endocrine.nurses@gmail.com to withdraw your abstract
● Notification: Presenting authors will be notified of acceptance 4-6 weeks before the conference
